Church Environment

What do people see, hear, feel, perceive, and intuit when they enter a church environment?  How does the  ambiance of a place of worship, study, or fellowship affect the observer? All of the senses are involved as one discerns an environment. How do we create environments that welcome women and men, girls and boys to fully participate in the gospel?
